Simulating the Outcome of a Binary Neutron Star Merger in a Common Envelope Jets Supernova

We simulate the influence of energy that merger process two neutron stars (NSs) releases inside a red supergiant (RSG) star on RSG envelope inner to location. In triple common evolution (CEE) we consider tight binary system NSs spirals-in an and because mass accretion dynamical friction NS merge. deposit merger-explosion energies 3e50 1e51 erg at distances 25Ro 50Ro from center RSG, with three-dimensional hydrodynamical code FLASH follow in regions. For parameters explore find more than 90 per cent site stays bound RSG. experience CEE are likely accrete through disk launches jets. These jets power luminous transient event, supernova (CEJSN). The adds CEJSN energy. Our finding implies interaction product, massive or BH, can continue release energy, both by further in-spiral product. Massive envelopes force product spiral-in into core leading even energetic CEJSN.
